Description

CONFIBER is supplied in three sizes:

■ 40mm/12mm fiber length is designed for concrete mixes, with aggregate size greater than 20mm
■ 6mm fiber length is designed for mortar mixes.

Uses
CONFIBER is primarily used as a crack controlling additive for cementitious materials. CONFIBER is organic product specialy made of polypropylene particles by continuous hot extrusion processing . Due to destaticization and anti ultraviolet treatment, it is well proportioned disperse in mortar and last for a long time, thus effectively increase the bonding and base material prevently decrease delay the early plastic cracking mortar and concrete.

Typical applications are
■ Crack control in readymix concrete, precast concrete, conventional shotcrete, screeds, rendering mortars, micro-silica concrete
■ Concrete slabs, pavements, driveways, imprinted concrete
■ Water retaining structures, marine concrete etc.
■ Patch repair, thin section walling etc.

Standards compliance
CONFIBER complies with the requirements of ASTM C111.6

Specification
Where shown on the contract documents, concrete shall be manufactured using CONFIBER, a high-performance micro polypropylene fiber. The crack controlling additive shall meet the requirements of ASTM C111.6 and have a tensile strength of minimum 300 N/m².

Dosage

The optimum dosage of CONFIBER to meet specific requirements should always be determined by trial mixes using the materials and conditions that will be experienced in use.
