    Description

    Benefits
    • Excellent adhesion
    • Increases bond strength
    • Very good chemical resistance
    • Easy to apply
    • Cures even on damp surface
    • Ensures perfect waterproof bond.
    • Long workable time.
    • Moisture insensitive for long term durability.
    • Excellent adhesion and impact resistance.
    • Acts as a barrier coat to the migration of chloride ions from host concrete.

    Uses
CONBOND EP is used for bonding renders, screeds or fresh concrete to existing concrete to bond together precast concrete sections as a primer for an epoxy coating and screed.

    Packing & Coverage
CONBOND EP is supplied in 1 kg.& 5 kg packing.
The covering capacity of CONBOND EP will vary depending upon the porosity & texture of the surface and the ambient temperature but as a general guide 0.3 kg per m² should be allowed.

    Shelf Life & Storage
CONBOND EP will have a shelf life of 12 months in unopened containers when kept in dry conditions at a temperature between 5ºC to 35ºC. Material must be kept under shaded area and away from direct sunlight. Storage at higher temperature or high humidity may reduce shelf life.

    Health & Safety
Cleanliness in handling resins is essential to prevent skin irritation..

    How to Use

    Surface Preparation

Substrate must be sound, clean and free from laitance and all contamination viz. oils, greases etc.

    Mixing:

CONBOND EP comprises of two components, the resin BASE and the HARDENER, which are supplied pre- weighted in the correct proportions. When required for application, the HARDENER should be poured into the cane containing the BASE and drained well. Both the components should be thoroughly mixed, preferably using a slow speed mechanical stirrer, e.g. electric drill with stirrer attachment, un till a uniform  color is obtained.

    Application:

    (A) For bonding together concrete sections ; apply an even coating of CONBOND EP to both prepared surfaces using a brush or roller. Ensure that both surfaces are saturated and bring the sections together under light pressure. Remove any resin which extrude from the joint. Protect the job from agitation until the resin is set. (B) For bonding screeds; renders or fresh concrete to existing concrete surfaces ; apply an even coating of CONBOND EP to the prepared old concrete surface using a brush, or roller. The fresh concrete or mortar should then be placed on top of the CONBOND EP layer after 15 Min and within 5 Hours at 30 ºC.

    Cleaning

Tools should be cleaned immediately after use with SAFECORE TOOL CLEANER.
