Conexpa

Super-Plasticiser, Shrinkage Compensating Grout Admixture

CONEXPA is a plasticising, shrinkage compensating grout additive. IT is a single pack powdered admixture which when added to cement (cement : sand) produces an easy flow, high strength, shrinkage compensating grout. It is ideally suited for grouting and in-filling where a non-shrink, free-flowing product is required. CONEXPA imparts super- plasticising / high water reducing properties as well as positive expansion.

    • Reduced water : cement ratio
    • High strength
    • Iron free
    • Chloride free
    • Excellent adhesion
    • Eliminates shrinkage
    • Economical for non critical static load grouting

    Curing
Protect any exposed grouts from severe weather conditions during the early stages for cure by the use of hessian, Polythene sheet, water application or by CONCURE WB curing aid.

    Packing
CONEXPA is supplied in 225 gm sealed plastic container/pouch.

    Dosage
225 gm of CONEXPA, when added to 50 kgs. of cement, will require approx. 20 ltrs of water, field of grout being about 25 ltrs. With a 1:1 sand / cement mix the same quantity of CONEXPA with the required per 50 kg. of cement, and the addition of a similar quantity of water results to yield approx. 55-58 ltrs. For leaner grout mixes, where the aggregate/cement ratio exceeds 1:1, 2 X 200 gm of CONEXPA should be used per 50 kg of cement.

    Shelf Life & Storage
CONEXPA will have a shelf life of 24 months in unopened containers when kept in dry conditions at a temperature between 5ºC to 45ºC. Storage at higher temperature or high humidity may reduce shelf life.

    Health & Safety
If skin contact occurs wash thoroughly with clean water & if eye contact occur immediately clean with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. Full health & safety details are gives in product safety data sheet.

    How to Use

The substrate should be sound, clean and free from contamination. Concrete surface should be carefully pre- wetted and all surplus water should be removed prior to grout application. The CONEXPA should be added to the pre-mixed sand/cement (or cement only) and the mixed material gradually of mixing. Grouts made with CONEXPA may be applied at temperatures between 5ºC and 40ºC. The pouring side should be raised by means of a hopper or grout box to maintain a minimum 150mm head of grout at all times. Clean all equipments immediately after use with clean water.
